I think drinking and no homework probably makes adulthood worth it, but damn if I don't miss the lack of responsibility you all currently enjoy. You might not realize it, but trust me, you do.

Also, what's it like being in high school with social media? I bet it blows.

Being an adult is highly overrated. Well at least an adult with kids lol

It's fine so far. Hell, I haven't touched a sheet of paper since school ended today.

Youth is wasted on the young. And I'm actually glad we didn't have social media when I was in college. I shudder at the thought of what pics of me would be floating around in cyberspace.

Live it up. After kids, the price of going out doubles when you factor in babysitters.

Yeah even wide spread cell phones weren't around when I was in high school in the '90s I could only imagine now with social media.

Eh, I don't miss being in high school one bit. Or college. Sure the lack of responsibility was nice, but having my own house fucking rocks, and so does being able to do what I want whenever I want to as long as I'm ready to deal with the consequences.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for me to fall asleep sitting up in front of the TV halfway through my second beer because I'm friggin beat from getting up at 5 to go to my job every day this week.

My job is entirely done in computers, and I honestly can't remember the last time I held a sheet of paper with the intention of doing anything other than make a paper airplane.

The paper-free future! Paper to me feel much more productive as a working tool than a computer, but that's years of browsing the internet doing its thing.

You're absolutely right. Social media and high school do not mix. I've learned. I'm a 16 year old junior in high school. It's horrible.

16 year old junior in HS here.

I fucking hate it. Honestly. At this point everything I'm learning has no real value to me in the real world. As of now, I have my future planned out and know what I want to do. I just wish I could get out. I hate the vibe, the idiots, the boring as fuck lessons.

The funny thing is, when I first started out in high school, social media was a big thing. We always used to tell each other "oh I'll upload it to Facebook and tag you" and everything was shared amongst everyone. Facebook games were also all the rage. But as the years pass and as I enter my final year, we seem to enjoy social media less and less. I don't know, maybe it's because of a lack of time to enjoy or maybe we're just moving away from it because we've finally realised that there's a bigger world outside of things like Facebook.

But I'm not leaving Tumblr - it keeps my sanity.

One good thing I found for Facebook was the ability to flush out people that 1) I really didn't like and 2) people I never really considered my friends. So goodbye to all the assholes and dickheads that I never liked.

Im a 17 year old high school senior, and I have a twitter account that I rarely use, once every few months, a Facebook account I never use, and an Instagram that I never use, plus i do online high school. I have a smart phone and an ipad, but use those mostly for browsing oppo and jalopnik, I'm actually quite happy to not use social media.
